Homework, Yuk

Homework, Days past, TOH, Site, and Pics.

So, I am sitting here, almost done with homework, and it’s only been about 5 hours. Yuk. I need to start keeping up with it better I think.

I mowed the lawn today, and yesterday Jenn and I tried going to the Columbus Avenue Day thing, but missed it by 90 min. It probably wasn’t all that anyway. We considered going to Caro for the Tuscola County Pumpkin Fest. They were making a 16 ft pumpkin pie, the world record. We decided it was too far of a drive though, so made ham, sweet potatoes, and stuffing. Friday, I had to go in for a Man. Proc. test. And Thursday was normal school, except no Man. Proc. class.

I was flipping through today and saw that the new season of This Old House has started. I am very happy about this. I have been waiting over a month for it. Yay!

I started playing with making a new template for WP. It will be a few weeks still though. By the time I get it figured out though, I will know some more PHP and will be able to make some small changes around the rest of the site.

Speaking of the site, I have pics of our most recent camping trip up now in the gallery.

I think that’s everything. I must say, I thought it would be nice to not need to blog every 3 days, but all day yesterday I felt like I had to. Maybe I will get used to it, or maybe I will go back. We will see.

Like a Phoenix, rising from the asses.

6349 visits?

Visitors, Camping, and School.

Well, despite doubts from a certain someone, the old blog has passed 6000 visitors and currently sits at 6002. Jenn was 6000 btw, I asked her to check how many I was at and she ended up being the 6000th. Friday evening at midnight though, it poofs away forever. Still though, that 6002 plus the 347 here is a crapload of visits.

Jenn and I are, were pretty sure, going camping Friday, Saturday, and returning Sunday. That means that the Saturday post will be delayed until Sunday afternoon, or just pre-posted on friday afternoon.

Delta released their winter schedules this week, so I have been going through and trying to schedule my courses. I looked back through the fall and spring/summer schedules too, so I could figure out what courses are offered only during certain semesters. Sadly, it looks like I will still have a full year past this winter,, plus another 3-4 semesters at Ferris, but I have no one to blame but me for being so indecisive on my Major.

I think that’s it. Never did remember the additional thing from last time.

Oh, and comment damn it, no one has in a while. I feeling lonely.

And yes, I know I need a poll.

Happy Fall

Fall, Site, School, F@H, and River of Time.

Fall is my favorite season. It’s cool out, all the trees change to cool colors (technically, yellow, orange, and red are warm colors, but you get it, right?). The air smells good (yes, even the sugar beet plant, I can smell the sweetness inside there somewhere), the last of the produce comes ripe, including the wonderful squash. It’s all just so nice. I need to go out camping in it. Maybe in 2 weeks. I love fall.

I am a little bothered that I haven’t done much here lately, but I have been busy with school and homework, so at least I wasn’t just being lazy. I need to update some webpages, work on the gallery, and fix more old blogs. At least I changed the theme. Not now though. Maybe later tonight.

Speaking of the site, Apple updated .Mac. See, long ago, .Mac was called iTools, and was free. Then, evil spammers started using the service (and Apple saw a chance for profit) and it had it’s name switched and a $99/year fee applied. So, on the day this happened, many people all signed up at once. Now, each year in September, all these people fret and complain that they, 70%-ish of the .Mac subscribers, used to get the service free, and that Apple better upgrade the service if they want them to stay members. So, Apple does. And, being September, they just did. From the original 100MB, to last years 250, and now 1GB of space, along with a few other things. Now, granted, GMail gives you 2GB, but it’s just for email, .Mac lets you use it as a remote disk. So that’s cool, but I don’t need 1GB, nor do I have $99. If there was a $20 100MB and it came with PHP and MySQL so I could keep WordPress (which I vastly prefer over iBlog) I would consider it. But, since that didn’t happen, Apple will be 1 more member short come next Saturday.

School is OK. I had a Pre-Calc test Wednesday, so no homework for the weekend, woohoo. I have a major, and a plan, and it excites me. I need to talk to a counselor at Ferris though I think, or maybe one of the counselors at Delta could help me, I don’t know.

I am running Folding@Home again. Only as a screensaver though, not the full background app. I haven’t completed a work unit yet though, after like 3 or 4 days of running it.

River of Time is this weekend. You should all go, because it’s cool. It’s another good part about fall.

Not sure what else.

I guess that’s it.

Yeah, that’s it.

Enjoy the fall.

Because Mini Was Too Big

Apple, School, Interview, and Birthday.

Apparently, “Mini” is too big for Apple, as today the iPod mini was discontinued in favor of the new iPod nano. Along with being smaller, it also sports a color display so you can view pictures and such, as well as swapping out the mini’s 4 or 6GB HDs for 2 or 4GB flash ROMs. It keeps the old price though of $149 and $249 respectively, or $129 and $179 for students (like me). Also (it was a big day for Apple) they released a new version of iTunes to support the new iPod and the new Motorola ROKR (rocker) cellphone, which supports iTunes songs. I am not totally sure on all it’s specs, but know it only works with Cingular in the US.

School is going well still. I had a Pre-Calc quiz today that went well. I have some homework for Man. Tech to work on when I am done here.

RadioShack interview went, well, whatever. The whole commission based thing I wasn’t real happy with, so just winged the interview and didn’t care much either way. We will see, whatever happens happens.

Not much else.

Haven’t worked on entry conversions, because of homework and such.

My Birthday is tomorrow. Woohoo to 23!

I guess that’s it.

Will let you know how birthday went on Saturday.

What was that?
A flaming burp.
Does it always do that?
It’s not always a burp.

Three hundred!

300, School, WP Perks, Oldies, Dinner, and Addition.

Yay! My 300th post. Granted, it was really a few back, since I deleted some, but this is the official one. The one that really counts.

School is going well. None of my classes seem too horrible. Though, I am out of Fin-Aid money for books and supposedly will still need 1 more, but that’s how school goes.

One of the very cool parts about having Word-Press is, I am at Jenn’s, on her computer, and can post a blog. I love that.

All the old posts are now on this blog, but around 60 of them got screwed up dates. I am working on fixing that, along with deleting incorrect line breaks that were carried over somehow. Want to have it all fixed over the weekend, but probably not. My goal is at least the mis-dated ones.

I made mussels for dinner. It was OK. The pasta and sauce were real good, the mussels were just scary. Like I told Jenn, worst case scenario is we die.

Notice that now, under (or over, I forget) the counter in the blog sidebar is a word counter. I will of course have a special entry for my 100,000 word, but that’s a ways off.

I think that’s it. Enjoy the now-official new blog, and have a good weekend.

Poll’s will return when I get all the old posts straightened out. I have enough to work on for now.

The End

Goodbye, Sick, School, and some Misc.

For the second time in 2 years, I present my final blog of a particular address. Two years ago it was the final at blogger (which is actually still up) (and oddly, I was sick then too), and now I present my final blog with iblog on .Mac. This blog will not stay up, and will disappear on October 1st, 2005.

So, I am almost better, just a stuffed up nose mostly. My mom now has whatever I had though, so it is most definitely not an allergy.

I returned to school today after 486 days off. It sucked, but wasn’t that bad. They still only had the 1 book, that I don’t need until tomorrow anyway, so I didn’t get that. Went to CAD, and that seems like it will go fine. Pre-Calc was odd, because I have gone up through Calc 2, so should be easy as everything goes by, but since I haven’t had a math class in 2 and a half years, I needless to say am having trouble remembering some “should be easy” stuff. So after that, I went back to the bookstore and wow! They now had a second book! The line was long as hell though, so I walked out anyway. Maybe tomorrow.

So, I came home and took a nap cause I only slept like 4 or 5 hours last night, and made some steaks for dinner (which were awesome).

They just showed the Jeopardy that was the first with Ken Jennings. Yeah, he kicked some ass, huh?

What else…

You see that new Triple Whopper? Talk about a heart attack waiting to happen.

I guess that’s it. Wish it were a little more interesting, for being the last here, but then again it will just continue in 3 days anyway.

OK, so long, and see you Thursday at the new blog. I may or may not have all these posts up there by then, we will see.

Sick

Sick, Stuff, and School.

Yup, late August and I’m sick again. Today I’m not too bad, not now anyway. At least I can breathe. Wish I knew what the hell caused it.

So, this and one more. Scary stuff man. It seemed so far away when I announced the move, and now it’s creeping right up.

Due to being sick, I haven’t accomplished much outside, or with the website, or anywhere really. Mostly just slept on the couch, or in my bed, or anywhere I can curl up in a decently comfortable ball.

School starts Monday, just 3ish days away (being 11:40, its 2 full days, plus 10 hours in the morning). So that’s something to not look forward to.

OK, goodnight all, I tired.

I Want to Play the Bagpipes

Bagpipes, Move, BDay, Job (Maybe), School, Camping, Site, Fishing, and Yard.

I do, sadly, I really do. I think it would be cool. Nobody would like me while I learned, especially my family and neighbors and anyone else I practiced around, but who cares, in the end I would be able to play the bagpipes! I mean, how hard could it be, really?

Also, in researching all this, I found a band called Enter the Haggis. Seriously, a scottish bagpipe rock band. Some of their songs are actually really good, to me anyway, but I want to play the bagpipes, so what do I know.

So, to get started I need to get a practice chanter, which is basically the part of the bagpipe that goes from your mouth to the bag, looks kinda like a flute. This is what your supposed to learn on when your first starting out, and to practice new songs even when your an old vet. I have seen them on eBay and the sorts for $35ish. Also, I am going to ask some people at the river of time for suggestions. I have no intention of jumping right in after all, since I am poor, and I am afraid of the horrible sounds I will make.

In other news, There is this post, the 26th, and the 29th, thats it, in case I haven’t warned you enough.

Thursday is 2 weeks to my birthday.

Two weeks from today I have an interview for RadioShack. Hopefully I get an interview this time, instead of just standing around waiting then being told to go home, after being told 3 times that the store I am applying for isn’t hiring despite me having talked to the store’s manager just 2 days earlier and being told they were.

I still don’t have books for school, they weren’t in yesterday when we went to look. I will try Thursday, and if not go early for call Monday. Is scary I have only like 5 days left, especially after 481 days off (as of today).

Tomorrow will be a year since Jenn and i went to Mackinaw. We are trying to work in a camping trip the week after Labor Day, and I would like another one during fall colors. We will see.

I have the gallery up , as well as an online status indicator on the new site. Gallery is pretty much as it was on this site. I will be making modifications to it over tonight though.

Today Jenn and I went fishing at State Park, and I caught the biggest weed I ever have. Really, this was a big weed, like 4 foot long, and weighed a metric shitload too!

Also today, I installed our back screen door, and yesterday we finished the fence.

OK, I think that is it.

Till
Friday,

Boomstick Edition

Back Entrance, Cousin, Suchyta, and Fin Aid.

Well, the blocks are finally done, and the area has been back-filled with sand. The concrete truck arrives tomorrow morning at 10:00 to lay the slab, then we can go to walls. Stick walls should go much faster than the block walls did. Probably get at least a wall per day, then a day or 2 for the roof. I give it 2 weeks at the most, honest.

My cousin Scott is going to be in town on the 4th. I haven’t seen him in probably 5 to 8 years, I think.

I saw Suchyta online yesterday, but he wouldn’t talk to me. I don’t know what the hell is up with him.

I finally got my Financial Aid paperwork in, so I can get it all filled out and maybe get a degree that is more useful than my AS Transfer (liberal arts).

OK, nothing else I can think of.

THIS is my BOOM stick!

Getting Close

Template, Dr. Pepper, Bike, and School.

The template is nearly done. It actually is done, I am just being obsessive because I’m good at it. I would say end of month latest.

I bought some Vanilla Cherry Dr. Pepper. It tastes pretty much like regular Dr Pepper, but has a slightly more cherry taste, and a very weak vanilla. It’s not bad, for sure, but I don’t think its really very different.

Jenn and I went for a bike ride today. My bike is at Bay Vac and Pedal, so I rode my brothers, which wasn’t great. Bike ridding is still fun though. We rode to A&W, which opened yesterday.

Also today, I registered for fall semester at Delta. Hopefully I get fin-aid.

OK, thats all. See you Thursday.
