Weird is Only Weird Until it Becomes Normal

4000, Snacker, ME, Downloads, and Slurpee.

Few things this post.

First, I have surpassed 4000 visitors. Jenn wins the 4000th prize, though she was 4001 at 10:10 PM on 3/7/05. A googler was actual winner.

KFC Snackers are pretty good for $0.99.

I still don’t know who “ME” is.

I downloaded a bunch of new desktops.

Yeah, I really don’t have much.

Ooh, 7-11 has pineapple slurpees! Very awesome.

Uhh…

yeah.

OK, till Friday I guess.

If the weird people become the majority, then weird will become normal, bringing our entire system of logic crashing down and destroying the universe.

Do You Suffer From Memory Loss?

Me, Delay, Year ago, Fun, Website, and eBay.

Hey “Me”, you haven’t responded yet.

First up, er, Second up: Wednesday’s update will either be rather early or very late (before 12pm Wed. or after 2pm Thurs.). This is due to me being out of town. Details will come either Thur. or Saturday.

One year ago today Jenn and I first met, at her dorm at SVSU. Yay!

The fun unmentionable is back. Should last about a month, maybe 2. I’m happy that I got it, but sad cause of what is means. You have no clue what I’m talking about though. That makes it more fun though, for me anyway.

I am still unsure of what is happening with the website.

I received payment for my 3rd item on eBay. Is exciting.

I think that’s it.

“They call’em fingers, but I never saw’em fing.”
Auto, the Simpsons

Ewwwww

Sick, Jenn’s Car, Poll, Category.

Hmmm…

I might be sick, maybe not though. I won’t go into details.

Jenn’s car went in for repairs today, and got a GMC Canyon for a rental. I was needless to say a bit jealous (but too sick feeling to be more than a little).

I now have 1 whole vote in the poll, and it was a pity vote. New poll goes up Thursday.

Note the new category, and the website is gone. Reorganization work will continue over the next few weeks.

Thats all I have for now.

I had a cool Family Guy quote, but I do too many Family Guy quotes, so I won’t post it.

Bored, So Very Very Bored.

Valentine’s Day, and a DejaVu-iness.

Well, I have been doing nothing for about an hour now in boredom, so I figured I would blog. Not much to blog about though.

Valentine’s Day went well. I gave Jenn a dozen lavender roses and a teddy bear, she gave me a CD, a belt, and a meat thermometer (no, those don’t sound like romantic gifts, but they are ones I wanted). We went to Applebee’s for dinner. That’s about all.

Hmmm… What else.

I guess we could look at what I wrote a year ago.

2/15/04
I got a webcam from Suchyta (that I need to post on eBay)
Was being lazy (what else is new)
Tax refund and fin aid weren’t back yet (at least I have refund this year)

And that’s about it. Apparently 2/15 is just an uneventful day.

Before I go, I want to point out I modified the poll, so it will be a bit easier.

Huh?

Uhm, I Ran Out of Titles Again

Poll, Taxes, NDA, Bowling, Bro, and Delta.

Well, lets see.

I have a new poll up.

My federal income tax came in.

I can not tell you why I was sad last time, because I had to accept a non disclosure agreement, hence I can not disclose any information.

Jenn, Todd Stevens and I are going bowling tonight.

My brother and his roommate came for the weekend. He only has 2 weeks to go.

I AM going back to Delta in the fall, for a real major this time. Mechanical Engineering Technology, followed by Manufacturing Technology Management at SVSU. Yes, it means it will take me 8 years for a BS, but ohh well. At least I finally figured something out (for now).

OK, hasta lasagna,

“It’s just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus: all year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV, but then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns – and also he got a race car! Is any of this getting through to you?”
-Fry, Futurama

Various Stuffs

Superbowl, TV shows, Pic, and SnowFest.

Well, we watched most of the Superbowl, with the exception of while we were cooking. I pretty much knew New England would win.

We made jalapeno poppers and buffalo chicken fingers for dinner. Too much fried food I think.

The very hyped Simpsons was decent, but not great. American Dad was good, but not Family Guy.

I found a cool pic.

Bridge
Is from a highway opening, bridge goes from right to left lane. MDOT set it up. I thought it was funny.

Jenn and I went to SnowFest in Frankenmuth on Friday. It was ok, not all I hoped.

OK, go about your lives.

Wow, hi, if I knew you were coming I would have gone and got some donuts or something, about 30 seconds ago.

Diet Vanilla Cherry Dr. Pepper?!?

Dr. Pepper, Library, Poll, Gloves, and Apple x2.

Yes, the longest name of any soft drink I know of. And redundant too, since Dr Pepper is cherry anyway, even though nobody knows it. ( I didn’t know till I realized the similarity between Dr. Pepper and Jolt Cherry Bomb).

Ohh no, my Library card is going to expire soon! Well, 2016, but that means I’m, like half through. The website lets you check fines and such, and request books. You can say “I want this book” and it will be at your local library soon, even if the nearest copy is at the UCLA library across the country! It’s cool. (I kinda feel weird, endorsing the library, like a commercial on PBS.)

New poll is up. Kinda sad, only 4 people. Used to have like 6. Ohh well, at least I have my hundreds of googlers.

I mailed my gloves today, back to Dockers. The stitching came apart between the fingers, and Kohl’s doesn’t have them in stock anymore.

iTunes/Pepsi starts back up today. If you find a winner, and aren’t saving them, I want them.

Also today, new PowerBooks came out. Faster processors, 8x DVD burners, drop protection, and scrolling trackpads. And a price drop!

OK, I’m off to do more nothing. Back Thursday.

Police spent several hours attempting to save a fish trapped under the ice. Despite their efforts, it died shortly after.

A bit late

Trip, Ketchup, and Poll.

OK, so I’m late, not the first time.

I just got back from Warren, because my brothers keyless entry wouldn’t work. He stopped at his friends house last night and was coming home for the weekend. So he is at ABC Warehouse now trying to get it all fixed.

Funny thing, the trip back always seems shorter, unless you don’t actually go anywhere, then it all blends together into a long boringness.

I learned that Heinz produces 10 billion packets of Ketchup every year. Thats insane.

I think it’s new poll time. Will work on that before next update (Monday).

OK, thats all.

… we sadly announce that the Year Of The Monkey is about (on 2/9) to be superseded by the Year Of The Rooster (or the year of the Green Chicken if you use the Five-Element Systems). Oh joy. Nothing funnier than a green chicken. In better news, it’s going to be the year 4702 in China so they’ve probably already engineered time travel. Perhaps they can go back in time and change 2005 to the Year Of The Jedi. Patience we must have…

It's Noon, and I'm Bored, So Why Not?

Categories, Future, Movie, and Grandma. UPDATED!

First of all, though you probably didn’t notice, the “Blogger” category is gone. I went through last night and marked them all as “Blogger post #XX” and then incorporated them into the other categories. There will be a new category coming soon though, very soon.

I also did some calculating the other day, and came up with this:

May 13, 2005 – 250th Post
May 19, 2005 – 200th General (earliest)
Oct 10, 2005 – 300th Post

I think those are right anyway. Note that the 200th General is listed as earliest, since every non-general post will push that date back by 3 days.

Yesterday we watched Troy. A good movie, based largely on the Iliad. If you liked Gladiator, you will like Troy.

Grandma is doing better. Main problem now seems to be that she is dopy from the medication. She doesn’t complain about pain as much though, and is starting to get used to not being able to use her arm.

Ok, I gonna go. Remember, MacWorld is tomorrow, Keynote is at 12 (Yay!, wait, they said no live webcast this year BOOOO!)

Why don’t they try hiring people who have IQs higher than their age?
me – long ago

update: I just read through my comments and thought I should add that I haven’t started toward any resolutions yet. Thats one of those things about new year’s resolutions, you have all year to work at them.

Wow

Chris, Grandma (the Wow), Saginaw, and Movies.

Thats all that can describe it. Wow.

So, Chris made it to Toronto Ok, and seems to be doing well. He got a little lost on his way, but school is going well from what I hear.

On Wednesday morning my grandma was to go in for rotator cuff surgery at 5, for the operation at 8. Around 4:45 the phone rings and it’s my uncle Steve. After chatting with home for a few minutes, my mom realizes he isn’t at home in Allentown, PA, he is sitting in his van at the end of our driveway, where he had been for about 3 hours. So, he and a co-worker of his went with my mom and grandma for the surgery. He has always had a habit of showing up without saying anything. He left a little after 10 Wednesday night without sleeping, but stopped in Ohio because the roads were getting pretty bad. Grandma is doing fine, though understandably sore.

I went to Saginaw with Jenn today. First to Kohl’s to try and exchange my gloves that came apart (with no success), then to Dick’s to try and find a matching sleeping bag to mine (again, no success). You always feel bad when you come home with no accomplishments. I did buy Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy though. And we found out her ring should be in come morning.

Bourne Supremacy wasn’t great. Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, however, was. A truly great “stoner” movie. You have to see it.

OK, thats all for tonight. Monday I shall return, and Thursday I will tell you all about the fun new things Steve brings us at MacWorld on Tuesday.

There are several sacred things in this world that you don’t EVER mess with. One of them happens to be another man’s fries. Now, you just remember that and you’ll live a long and healthy life.
