It was way to freaking hot out today. Not just hot, but freaking humid too. We only worked till 2ish, then gave up. I probably could have gone longer, but Mom and Phil couldn’t. Not that I mind going home early.

How you know you’re in the south end: Neighbors wait till 10:30 to mow lawn.

So, what have I been up to…

Monday we didn’t work, and I basically sat around all day. No, it didn’t rain, but it was supposed to. Tuesday we were at Hughes’ on Center, just East of Green. Were at same place today, and will be tomorrow (unless rain). You should drive by, it is looking really nice now, all new mulch.

Also, I went to the driving range again with Jenn yesterday. No, not the one with the car. I did pretty well. We then drove around for a bit. We went to the end of Jones Rd. to show her the bay, but we couldn’t see it. The water level is so low that there is nothing but reeds for about a mile out.

So, tomorrow I probably will work. They are calling for rain, but have been horribly wrong for the past, well, forever.

Road trip, Movie, Grades, Work, Biking, Thunderstorms, and House.

Really, Scott asked me yesterday to go with him to take a couch from his apartment in Mt. Pleasant to his sister’s house in Grand Rapids, so we went through Wyoming, MI. We also had the privilege of seeing “The Eat Place” in St. Louis. Then we got the tickets for Bubba Ho-tep and I got to sit home for a whopping 2 hours.

Bubba Ho-tep was extremely funny. I’m not totally sure, but it should be available for rental, and I highly recommend it.

I got my grades from Delta, A, A, and B in HTML, JS, and Networking respectively, as I predicted.

Friday I worked, shoveling mulch. I didn’t get a pay check this past week, because I didn’t work the previous week. Oh well, will get one this friday. Worked Thursday also, but you know that from the last update.

Been riding bike more too. Trying to do at least 7 miles a day. I should be doing more, but the only days its not raining, I work and am a bit too tired to do more.

There is a thunderstorm right now, and there was just a big thunderclap that even set off some car alarms. There has been quite a bit of thunderstorms lately. According to Delta’s weather page we’re at 2.3″ of rain the last I checked, and its only the 9th.

Speaking of dates, the 7th was 1 year since we moved, and since I let Ludwig go. I miss the house, I miss my turtle. But they are gone, and I have moved on (kinda).

Work, Ouch, Biking, School, IC America, and Website.

Well, after working yesterday and today, I am rather sore and tired. Though, I guess I am lucky. Suchyta was going to work with us yesterday, and about 30 minutes in he crushed his finger between the dump box we were putting on the truck and the hoist we were lifting it with. He broke it open and fractured the bone, needing 5 stitches. I’m sure it hurts like hell too.

I didn’t manage to get a bike ride in this week due to either poor weather, being at work, or lack of motivation. Next week I guess.

Down to the last week of class now. I have homework for my 2 f2f classes, and a test for my inet class. So very close, I am glad.

Iron Chef America started last night. The first episode was an intro, and the second was Flay v. Sakai in the trout battle. Amazingly, Flay(now 2 and 1) won, bringing Sakai’s(70-16-1) first even loss in a fish battle. That battle just replayed, and on now is Batali(0-0) v. Morimoto(16-7-1) in the Spiny Lobster battle. Tomorrow will be a repeat of the 3 past battles, followed by Morimoto v. Puck, then the 2 on 2 finale. From what I’ve seen, other secret ingredients may include sea urchins, tuna, and scallops. Also, Alton Brown’s role seems to be as the commentator, and the new chairman is none other than the nephew of Kaga himself.

Still no work on the site. I hope to move all my school projects from Delta’s server to my own site after school is over, and finally recompile my Java Applets.

The hell is this shit?

Yes, I asked for warmer, but I just wanted warmer than 30s and 40s, not the freaking 80s already. Can we get a 70 – 75 with no wind maybe?

Apple released a heap of new software today, but no hardware. Most are still expecting new iBooks and PowerBooks tomorrow. We will see.

I passed 1100 today. I am giving the title to Erica, although she was 1101. Some stupid googlers got 1099 and 1100, so she was closest. I shouldn’t though, since she doesn’t talk to me anymore :-P.

I went to Zabro’s and to see “the Punisher” yesterday with my brother. Very awesome movie. Also, why did nobody tell me how much better GKC is than Goodrich? I still want to see HellBoy, JerseyGirl, and Holy Grail will be there at the end of the month too. If anyone is interested, PLEASE let me know. I hate seeing movies alone.

I rode most of the rail-trail with my mom on Friday night. Was like 7.5 miles round trip, so 2 under. As was with the movies, if anyone would like to go with me, let me know. I am available pretty much 24 – 7 since I have no life, unlike all of you.

I worked Friday too. I was all yellow from the pre-emergent we put down. I still have a few yellow spots I either miss or just can’t get off yet.

So, that’s what I’ve been up to. I haven’t heard from some of you in a few days, but see you checking the blog. I wish you would let me know what’s going on, either an IM or a comment, something.

Cassie, Sarah, Job, School, Moods, and thats about it.

I haven’t seen Cassie in a week, because she has been sick. She is mostly better now though, so I get to go to a movie with her tomorrow.

I would like to apologize again to Sarah, for saying she was upset when she wasn’t. Hopefully she wasn’t upset by it, but I won’t say if she was or not, as that may upset her, so uhm, I am going to leave it at that. (Hah, I just proof read through and realized I didn’t capitalize her name. That would have made me look dumb.)

I still have no job, and I don’t like it. I need $$, and the one thing jobs are good for is getting $$.

School is, uhm, going. I have an A in all 3 classes, and just 5 more weeks.

They were walking through the Zoo in Canberra when, without warning, a huge flock of vampire attack penguins dove out of the sky and tried to carry Linus away. Fortunately, Andrew had an umbrella. Still, one of the birds was able to nip Linus’ hand with its fanged beak. Rumor has it that on moonlit nights Linus still runs out into the darkness and jumps, stark naked, into icy water. Of course, he’s Finnish and may always have done this. In any case, this is why the Penguin is the Linux Mascot.

Tired, Grandma, Ver. 3, 800, DNR, and School.

I guess that 4 is just too late for me. I need to stop staying up to watch This Old House. It’s on at 9, but I always miss it.

Today was Grandma’s 72nd birthday. 1932, wow.

I have been working at version 3 more. The website now has a link to Ver. 3 beta 4 if you want to peek.

Speaking of the site, I reached my 800th visitor yesterday (Feb 26th) at 4:16 pm. The super-special winner is Cassandra…, uhm…, well just Cassie for now. She will receive a yet-to-be-decided gift, as soon as I figure out what it is.

I have an interview with the DNR for a summer position at state park on March 11th. I hope I get it, I can’t work with my mom forever, not good for either of us.

Other than that, school is going well and spring break is week after next. I guess it isn’t that big of a deal though, since I only have class on 2 days anyway.

Well, I am off to watch the remainder of The Great American Celebrity Spelling Bee, followed by maybe a movie.

Wow, 90 posts. Wednesday March 10th will be 100. Thats a lot of posts, huh?

I have decided 6 credits is too little. I have way too much time, and not enough to do with it. I either need more credits or a job. GM, Where are you…?

Scott Michael Helber was the 700th visitor to the website (see I know his middle name now).

I played with the site structure finally. It looks the same, but is just better organized. For example what used to be homepage.mac.com/nslyax/pics.html in now homepage.mac.com/nslyax/images. The same goes with the stories all being at /stories/, blog stuff at /blog/, and miscellaneous stuff at /misc/. I have added a /school/ section, but it isn’t fully up yet. I still need to recompile the java applets form source code and add Adv. Web and JS as I work on them. By the way, I have dubbed this update v. 2.5.

Other than that, not much new here. I will be spending some time fixing links in old blogs eventually, since they are all broken now. Speaking of broken, the Broken says they will have a new episode by month end.

I filed my taxes, I am supposed to be doing my brothers, and will do my FAFSA as soon as my mom’s taxes are done.

Hello.

I am in a good mood right now, but I can’t say why yet. I hope I will be able to, in about a week maybe. We will see, or I will see anyway.

I had a “girl” try to cyber with me Sunday night. Was very funny. I went along with it for a while, but she is blocked now. Notice how I said “girl”, and not girl…

I have to go to class tomorrow, which is stupid. I should have taken 210 online, thats all this really is. We walk in and she says “Go to www.delta.edu/flpeters and read your assignment, email me when it’s complete.” Wait, what? No explanations? No lecturing? Why am I here? It’s stupid.

I filled in my address book on the ibook. Now on buddy list it’s all formal looking. It’s all “Nicholas James Suchyta” and “Jason David Julian” and, well, I don’t know Scottiews middle name. I do know that his name is not Scotthiew, and that he finds it at least semi-annoying, which is funny.

I wish GM would start hiring. I need $$, and they have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. So the way I see it, we would go well together. Seriously though, I need a direction or something, and that would definitely give me one.

Nick has listed some of my stuff on ebay for me, I am very thankful. My PowerBook, Palm, and USB card are up now, more to come as these sell. Future listings include, well, there are alot of them, we will see.

The End of 2003

End of ’03, Resolutions, Break, My dog’s BDay, Idea’s are just that, Broken special, jobs, and a boredom ranting extravaganza.

Whaaa! It’s the last one of the year!, Boohoohoo!

Ok, anyway, yeah, this is my last post for the year. Thursday will be 2004, and I don’t update till Thursday night, so…

I could do a “Year in Review” Special, but I think there are enough of those around.

I don’t know, it’s been a long year, I’ve made new friends, regained lost ones, and did some new things. I never did get a job though. I mean, I have a job, but it’s screwy, and I don’t consider it real, so. But thats my New Years Resolution, to get a real job, and get beefy. Yeah, beefy. The way I see it, if I at least ride my bike more, it will do something. I’m not going to go get a gym membership or anything, just take dog for a run more often, and ride bike more, yeah. Of course, not till its warmer out though. Ooh, and clean my room.

Christmas break isn’t even half over yet. I don’t have class until Wednesday the 14th. Hah, thats like 3 more weeks. I love college.

Ooh, ooh, Today is Molly’s Birthday, or so we decided. The vet figured around the end of ’02 she was born, and my aunt died on the 29th of cancer, so we decided molly was born same day (but a few years later). So my baby it 1 today, woohoo!

I was told that some of the ideas I put in blog wouldn’t work, like my child bearing license. Well no shit. I just write stuff that comes to mind, I don’t actually think about it or anything. I’m sure with some work they could be made to work, but I’m lazy, so screw that. Just wanted to point that out.

So that special thing I mentioned, it kinda sucked. It sounded really good in my head, but my mind is kinda warped, and the brain-to-hand travel seemed to have degraded it. Anyway, it’s on the stories page. I’m not even going to link to it, go find it yourself. Link to homepage is in top right of page, go from there. If you convince me it sounds interesting, I will work on more, otherwise, it might just go away.

Hmm, Uhh, well, yeah.

I just applied for home depot online. Including my Staples application, thats 2, plus IBEW, so 4 job apps this year. Wow.

Ok, so this guy is running through the woods, and he hears this noise, and hes like “Whos there”, but nobody answers, so he ceeps running, and running, and theres more noises, and he runs faster, and there coming nearer, AHHHHHHHHHHH.

So he trips, right? And the thing comes up to him, and suddenly all the trees are gone, and theres this big clearing, and hes bleeding and shit, and all scraped up from the banches, and can barely make out his persuer, and then he realizes its a snake! Not just any snake, but a big cobra, then BOOM! Theres GI Joe, and they kill the evil cobra, and the guys all like “Yeah, woohoo!”, and then GI Joe’s like “no problem”, and the dudes like “I dodnt know you guys were even real, I must be dreaming, your really here?” and GI Joes are like, “Well now you know, and knowing is half the battle”, and so the guys like “Hah, you always say that, can’t you come up with something new?” and GI Joe is like, “Hey, we could just leave you here, to die or something”, and so the dude appologizes, and gets a ride home in this wicked helicopter

TGIF

Casino, Zips, Old docs, work, 400 visits, and THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD!

Ok, so it wasn’t a bad week or anything, but still, maybe is more of a TGIF for you?

Anyway, went to casino last night with mom and Suchyta. Suchyta puts a quarter in a machine, gets 3 7s, wins $0 because was only 1 coin. Puts in 3 coins a few times, and it came back! 300 coins, so $75. My mom gave him some, as it was her coins. Fifteen minutes later I put a $.50 coin in machine, same thing, triple 7s and got nothing because 1 coin. Put some more coins in and it came back, $75, mom gave me like $30 of it.

Wednesday night I got a Zip 250 drive. I hooked it up to computer with my Zip100, and made a dual zip raid array. God I need a life. Better than dude who used 5 floppies though, right? Good news is I was going through Zip disks and found one of them had some stuff saved from 7600, so I got some old docs from school and stuff that I thought was lost.

I worked today, possibly last day of season. Possibly last day ever, if I get a better job over winter (HINT HINT GM, IBEW!).

I just noticed I hit 400 visitors. Sadly it was some dumb shit searching on google, probably for ser*al numbers. Bastards, LOOK ON LIMEWIRE, THEY’RE ALL THERE! Idiots.
