Your Questions, Answered

Q and A, 500, Stats, and Misc stuff.

I was reading through the comments that people have made, and noticed that many are questions. So, I decided I will answer them. What does that mean for you? Well, unless you’re Scott (or “not scott”) nothing. If you are Scott, then it means your questions will be answered.

Mind posting the SC4 ser*al you found?
Anonymous | 11.25.03 – 9:55 am

No, I will not post the SC4 ser*al I had. I got the ser*al to try SC4 to make sure it would run acceptably on my ibook. It doesn’t, so I will not be buying the game, and I have destroyed the ser*al number and cds that I had. However, I will commend your bravery, as you are the first person to ask me for it, out of literally hundreds that have come looking.

also, you should add a few of blog links to your link page. Like ones you read usually. This would involve your friends, or other good ones.
Scott | 11.24.03 – 7:36 pm

What?
Ok, after asking him for more detail, Scott just wants more links on my websites links page. I can do that, expect them by Saturday.

You know, it ratings month Can we expect something special by yours truly?
Incognito | 11.15.03 – 1:05 am

No, you can not MOM!

rest holes? dont you mean rust?
Scott | 11.11.03 – 8:48 pm

Yes, yes I did. But, you got the point right? So is doesn’t really matter.

back, yes. But better than ever?
Scott | 10.31.03 – 6:38 pm

How else would I be? (That was a rhetorical question, don’t answer. Yes, better than ever, and better than I will ever be in the future, except that one time with the thing in the thing with the thing, you know.)

I believe those bugs are refered to as “stink bugs.” Do they give off a bad smell?
Scott | 10.10.03 – 12:17 am

No, they are Japanese Lady Beetles.

Wow, that Scott is pretty awesome. And since I am not Scott, it shows alot that I mention it. That is my comment.
not Scott | 09.30.03 – 2:29 am

Yes, it does show a lot to mention his awesomness. And yes, Scott is the opitimy of awesomitude!

So there, your questions answered. Ask me more, and I will answer more.

I reached my 500th visitor. Scott tried for it, but didn’t quite make it. He got 498. 500 goes to John Pauwel, owner of that sad Christmas Tree. Congratulations John.

Wow, all over the world, huh? So I am up to UK, US, Canada, Mexico, Finland, Japan, Russia, Norway, Chile, Spain, France, Brazil, Belgium, and Denmark, that I know of.

What else…

I am editing my old posts, so they don’t contain a certain searched for word. I changed the words to s*m c*ty ser*ial. Only that third word was left, and only in certain circumstances. Will see how well it deters the poopoo heads.

BTW, poo.com is available. Hmmm… No.

After this post, only 5 more till I have as many iblog posts as Blogger posts. Actually, just three if you count the 2 tests. Yeah, i think I will. So three more posts will put us at next Friday? I think so. I hould play with the categories… Weird to have 3 categories with one only having 2 posts, kind of a waste.

I will try and get those links up over the weekend, between cleaning up my room and doing homework.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Close, Too Close

Close, A year, Pics, School, and Tired.

Well, it’s 11:14 at night, and I looked over at buddy list, saw scott, and somehow that reminded me it’s blog night. So, here I am.

After looking at old invoices and boxes, and from what I can remember, between November 3rd and 5th was 1 year since my 7600 died, and December 5th will be 1 year since I bought the iBook. Things have changed in the last year, beyond the computer even. With the moving, and the parents and all that, It’s been a long year.

I did some more updating to the website on the pics page. John’s tree is funny.

School is sucking more than ever. C++ and Java just get harder and more frustrating. Glad I only have 6 credits for next semester, I royally need a break. At least the end of the year is just a few weeks away.

Ok, I need sleep, been worn out for like 2 weeks now, need to try to fix it somehow. Maybe Thanksgiving break will help.

Til Wednesday,
nick

Fun, Fun, Fun

Killed the ibook, No Linux, 1000th view, Movies, and School.

Well, I was playing on ibook and, long story short, I screwed up. Just got done with re-installing the OS. Wont do that again.

I also learned that its just not possible to install linux on a Powerbook 5300. Not easily anyway. I tried several different methods, but it just didn’t want to work.

After the 400th visitor fiasco, I am glad to say that the 1000th page view went much better. Yes, Nicholas Suchyta was the 1000th page view.

No more movies recently. Still going for T3, and Bruce almighty comes out next week.

School is going ok. I told my Java teacher why I am falling behind, and he completely understood. Java and Obj. Oriented C++ is alot. Next semester will be lighter.

And uhm, thats it.
yeah.

Til Sunday,

As the Battery Looms

Unplugged, Website, Random thoughts, and Loss of thought.

I am typing this unplugged. My battery gage was acting goofy, so I am discharging it. At 18%, 50 minutes remaining.

I made some updates to the website (that none of you look at anyway) but nothing big. Mostly added some pics that were hiding, nothing much. I will do the library page when I clean my room and can get to my book shelf, but not now.

I was going to just sit here and type whatever came to mind, but I don’t feel like it now. Oh well. I kinda did last time, since thats how the sock was written, just by going on about whatever, without thinking. Some other time.

Uhm, well, I have been kinda sick. And, uhm, yeah.

Well, I guess thats it. I can’t think of much else to say.

Nope, nothing

Yeah.

Ok,
til Thursday.

TGIF

Casino, Zips, Old docs, work, 400 visits, and THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD!

Ok, so it wasn’t a bad week or anything, but still, maybe is more of a TGIF for you?

Anyway, went to casino last night with mom and Suchyta. Suchyta puts a quarter in a machine, gets 3 7s, wins $0 because was only 1 coin. Puts in 3 coins a few times, and it came back! 300 coins, so $75. My mom gave him some, as it was her coins. Fifteen minutes later I put a $.50 coin in machine, same thing, triple 7s and got nothing because 1 coin. Put some more coins in and it came back, $75, mom gave me like $30 of it.

Wednesday night I got a Zip 250 drive. I hooked it up to computer with my Zip100, and made a dual zip raid array. God I need a life. Better than dude who used 5 floppies though, right? Good news is I was going through Zip disks and found one of them had some stuff saved from 7600, so I got some old docs from school and stuff that I thought was lost.

I worked today, possibly last day of season. Possibly last day ever, if I get a better job over winter (HINT HINT GM, IBEW!).

I just noticed I hit 400 visitors. Sadly it was some dumb shit searching on google, probably for ser*al numbers. Bastards, LOOK ON LIMEWIRE, THEY’RE ALL THERE! Idiots.

Ok, I think thats good for now.

nick

“the Sock” moved to “Stories” section.

Tired

IBEW 2, Movie week, Matrix revelation, TV, Toast, and Delta winter.

Hi. How are you? Yeah, same here.

Had second IBEW interview today, went. Thats about it, wasn’t good or bad or anything, it just went.

Movie week is over. I am back to realizing how much TV sucks. T3 came out today, so I will need to go and try getting that.

I finally figured out the end of matrix revolutions. At least I think I did. Is one of those movies that is very open to interpretation.

Andy Griffith marathon is on. God TV sucks. Would rather watch the State of the Union address. I need the NASA channel, so I can watch Cinemax (don’t ask, long story).

I finally have Toast working, so I can copy CDs. Toast 6 has a lot of extra goodies in it too. VCD burning and some other stuff, haven’t looked through a whole lot yet. Has some stuff it builds into finder too, to make life easier. Will see if it really does.

I registered for winter semester at Delta yesterday, and paid today. $450, ouch. And still need to buy books sometime in December. Good thing I’m only taking 3 classes/6 credits.

Ok, I am REALLY tired, so going to wrap this up and head to bed.

See you all Friday…

Boredom Happens

Juneau? Alaska, Video, Winter Sem., AAC to MP3, Movie week continues, I worked, and the Weather.

I was a bit too bored last night. I spent well over an hour looking for “the Last Zip Code”. It is: 99929 – Wrangell, Alaska (AK). I also found that Barrow, AK is the northernmost settlement in North America, and it is currently a whopping 8 degrees there, with a wind chill of 11 below.

I think I need a video camera. I could make some cool movies. I found a few on ebay for like $35 – $50 but they are analog, so I would need to shell out more for a video importer for my
ibook. Maybe I should just wait til I can afford a digital.

I am sticking with 6 credits for Winter semester. Why? 1: I can’t find any classes I want that fit my schedule. 2: I need to pay $70ish for each credit.

I am re-importing my cds onto computer. Using AAC instead of MP3s. The 128 kbit AAC I am making definitely sounds at least as good as the 160 Kbit MP3s I had, but the higher frequencies are a bit stronger, will need to adjust the equalizer.

Have watched Monsters Inc., and Head of State over last 2 nights. Tonight is Shanghai Knights. I just finally saw Shanghai Noon a few weeks ago. Thats 7 nights in a row, it really is movie week.

Ok, worked today so not up for a big blog. Thats whats happening in my life, enjoy it.

And now for your local (or not) weather:

Allentown, PA:
31˚F
Wind Chill 24˚F
Wind North Northwest at 7

Barrow, AK:
8˚F
Wind Chill -11˚F
Wind east at 22

Bay City, MI:
23˚F
Wind Chill 17˚F
Wind South Southwest at 5

Marquette, MI:
16˚F
Wind Chill 16˚F
Wind South Southwest at 3

now go away!
nick

If it ain’t broke, your not trying hard enough.

Must be Movie Week

Movies, Matrix, School, Suchyta’s blog, Dumb visitors, SC Johnson is stupid.

Sunday night, I watched Holy Grail, Monday night was Mall Rats, Last Night was the Hulk and Finding Nemo, this afternoon I saw the Matrix Revolutions, and after the blog I will be watching the Italian Job.

Matrix was awesome. I would call it the lesser of the three, but still better than most other movies that come out. Best fight seen of the trilogy though.

I have HTML tomorrow. That’s good, because I couldn’t handle a real class. I arrived in C++ yesterday to find out there was a test. She didn’t feel she needed to tell us because it was on the syllabus. I think a reminder would have been nice, and I’m sure my grade will back me up.

Suchyta has a blog now. It’s so small and cute. There’s only one post, so looks funny. Will grow with time.

My visitors are now by a good majority people who are looking for ser*al numbers and found one of the blog pages by google. It’s sad, I have like 5 hits a day now and I don’t really want them, because their all morons looking on websites for ser*als. LOOK ON LIMEWIRE DUMB SHITS!

Ever see the commercial for SC Johnson talking about family tradition and such? You realize ALL of SC Johnson’s major consumer products (Ziploc, Glade, and Pledge) are products that they BOUGHT from DOW? Family tradition my ass, acquiring good products and calling them your own. Try inventing something of your own schmucks.

Ok, I got nothing else. Time for Italian Job. Go away now.

nick

Don’t mind me, just passing through, going about my business.
What is my business?

Close One

Nonsense, utter nonsense.

Wow, I finally get blog back up, and almost forgot to post already. Must be that not posting for a week thing having it’s effect.

Lets start with saying my HTML teacher is kinda hot. Well, for an almost-40-Delta-professor, she is hot. Hell, most students at Delta aren’t all that.

I bought “The Art of Deception” by Kevin Mitnick today. Hope to start at least browsing through it soon. For any of you who don’t know who he is, just google him.

It’s raining, and I am bored. I cant think of anything to write, so I am babbling.

Ever notice that birds are always coupled? PAIRakeets, cockaTWO… weird.

I wonder how long this blog will go on. How do you stop a blog anyway? Do you just, stop? Or do you increase the time between updates exponentially, til there just aren’t any more?

Hmm.

I am sure I will get tired of blogging at some point, just not sure when. Oh well, it’s not today.

I decided it is the Mexican’s fault that instructions are so bad. Don’t get me wrong, I have many friends that are Mexican (well, 1, but you need to understand I don’t have many friends anyway). Anyway, if not for the Mexican’s needing bilingual instructions, there would be only english in the book, and thus they could give twice the explanation they do now. I guess, its the damn Canadians fault too, for needing French. I do hate the French. Bastards.

So another thing I was thinking, is that I must not have a life, that I sit here and write this blog. But then, I realized that you all sit and read this blog. I feel better now.

Ok, thats all til Wednesday. Matrix Revolutions comes out Wednesday. Cool.

bye,
nick

In life, the winner is the guy who is frugal for 80 years, and saves all his money, even if it means being teased by friends. Then, when the friends die, he buys all their cool stuff for cheap at the estate sale. That’s who the winner is… Yeah…

I'm Back!

Lost Blog Returns, More Panther, Car, and Updates.

I fixed it!

When I wiped HD to install Panther, I wasn’t aware that iblog store original text in a system file that I was supposed to back up. Luckily I had backed up whole HD to cds about a month ago. So I have spent last week learning Panther, fixing blog, etc…

Panther is soooo cool. Jason, Nick: I installed Toast today, so can duplicate disks over weekend. Panther is the reason Windows users switch over. Wow, just wow.

Having not had a posted blog for a week I forgot to mention the car was fixed. Well, the brakes were fixed. Still plenty wrong with it.

Ok, the way I see it merely POSTING a blog is quite a bit, so thats all for now.

No quote, but ALL quotes will be put on a page, for reference.

And comments may be erased, as I needed to repost last 30 days of posts, which were the ones commented. Sorry…

Til Sunday,
nick
