Hmmmmm…..

Cassie, Sarah, Job, School, Moods, and thats about it.

I haven’t seen Cassie in a week, because she has been sick. She is mostly better now though, so I get to go to a movie with her tomorrow.

I would like to apologize again to Sarah, for saying she was upset when she wasn’t. Hopefully she wasn’t upset by it, but I won’t say if she was or not, as that may upset her, so uhm, I am going to leave it at that. (Hah, I just proof read through and realized I didn’t capitalize her name. That would have made me look dumb.)

I still have no job, and I don’t like it. I need $$, and the one thing jobs are good for is getting $$.

School is, uhm, going. I have an A in all 3 classes, and just 5 more weeks.

What else…

Uhm, this was interesting:

No, wait, I will save that as my quote, since I have nothing else.

La la la.

I am in a very “fast” mood right now. I am IMing Cassie and I think I am scarring her. I just keep typing stuff and it doesnt even all make sense. And, I will type like “keep” but I am so into it, I will type “keeping” because I want to keep going or something, I don’t know.

Anyway, I could write a story here, since I have the energy. I think I will say good bye first though, and come back up if I still want to.

Ok, yes, I will try.

hmm, story…

Uhm, I decided no actually, I was typing it and ran out of energy, so I deleted it. it was kinda screwy anyway. Oh well, another time.

Good bye,
nick

Linus Torvalds, the creator of the Linux Kernel, was visiting his friend Andrew Tridgell, the creator of the Samba suite. They were walking through the Zoo in Canberra when, without warning, a huge flock of vampire attack penguins dove out of the sky and tried to carry Linus away. Fortunately, Andrew had an umbrella. Still, one of the birds was able to nip Linus’ hand with its fanged beak. Rumor has it that on moonlit nights Linus still runs out into the darkness and jumps, stark naked, into icy water. Of course, he’s Finnish and may always have done this. In any case, this is why the Penguin is the Linux Mascot.

Number 104

Counter, Cross eyed, Cassie, Sarah, BIke, and Cruise.

Hmmm, what has happened…

I have a new counter and a poll now. I got pissed at sitemeter and switched, but I might switch again, I dont know. Will see.

I learned last night that if you are very tired and you try to read a EULA, it will make you cross eyed. Not fun. I suggest you avoid it.

I haven’t seen Cassie since Thursday night. She has been sick, so slept alot of the weekend.

I was informed that someone was upset by the fact I accidentally did not capitalize their name. I am sorry. Capitalization is one thing I do try and do, even if I accidentally spell the word wrong. I wont let it happen again.

It has been trying to get warm out. Hopefully I can get a bike ride in soon, I need to get my bike over to in for a spring tune/clean up though. Yeah, it costs a few $$, but they fill do a better job that I will, and have the right tools to do it too. Not sure if I will take it to Bicycle Village where i bought it or somewhere in town though. Will need to call around for prices tomorrow I guess.

What else…

Blogs have been kinda short. I don’t know why exactly. Well, I do, it’s because I don’t want to type a lot and generally can’t think if a lot to type, but the reason for that is what I don’t know.

Ooh, I could put up stuff about the cruise I guess. Ok, here some cruise stuff:

Total distance: 1,067 miles by sea + 1,908 (x2) miles by air = 4,883 miles in 1 week

So there you go, our cruise. That means 1096 days ago right now (3 years ago) I was on a ship somewhere between Antigua and St. Thomas. Also, note that those times are AST, not EST, so are 1 hour later (9 EST is 10 AST).

Would I do it again? Yes
Would I have done that one differently? No
Granted, you could argue maybe I “wasted” some tome doing stuff I didn’t like, but if I had not done it, I wouldn’t know I don’t like it, and might waste more time next time just to find out. I don’t know. It was fun though.
Most memorable activity?
Exploring EVERYTHING in the first hour with brother. It took us 3 days to figure out how to get to the last pool. It was staff only, and we couldn’t actually go to it. Bastards.

Ok, it took me like 30 minutes to get all that info, so I am done for now.

Til Thursday,

Stupid Counter

Counter, Cassie, School, itunes, and Genji.

My visitor counter is being gay. For some reason it decided not to count last week. I mean, it did count during last week, it just went back again at the end of the week. Also, I noticed it hadn’t been counting a few weeks ago either. By my best estimate, I am 25 down right now. I will get them back next week if it doesn’t fix on own. And if it does it again, I am switching to one that works.

Cassie was over last night, we watched a re-run of er, I made her some scrambled eggs, and then we watched more TV. It was a lot more fun than it sounds though.

I had to go to school today, because school is an evil life sucking doodoo head. My networking class meets twice over the semester, and yesterday was the first. I got to install DOS, install NetWare 5.5 Server, then on a different computer install Windows XP and NetWare Client. Wow, so freaking difficult. It took 2 hours because installing is gay. I definitely could have done without it.

I finally won a free song. That means the actual odds of me winning are 1 in 17. Of course the advertised odds are 1 in 3, but thats just not true. If you remember your statistics, you really shouldn’t reduce odds, so the official odds are 100,000,000 in 300,000,000. So I guess I lucked out.

What else…

I know where Genji is now. Is on Bay, just past some other street (the second one after Titti, is Shust, then the one I dont remember, and thats it), on left (if coming from Bay City). They finally show up on MapQuest now, I didn’t go looking around bay and Tittabawassee or anything.

OK, I think I am done now, since I can’t think of anything else to write about.

See you Monday.

100th, Website, and Movie

I can’t freaking believe I missed the 100th post. I only mentioned it once a week for the last 3 months. I am a moron or something, I don’t know. I will not miss my 1 year though, or the 100th visitor, I promise that.

I have removed the old website, and now the V3B4 is up as main. There is a little more work to do, but is almost where I want it. Again, if you have any suggestions or additions, please let me know.

I watched “The Breakfast Club” at the State Theater sunday night. You may have seen Suchyta’s pic in the Bay City Times today about it. Was for a guy that was proposing to GF and was her favorite movie.

Ok, sorry to leave it short but I have homework, so I will see you all on Friday.

It’s like they say, “When in Rome, do as the romans do.”
Actually, they used to say that, they got lazy though and only say “When in Rome” now.
Stupid they.

Birthday Week is Over!

Birthdays, No movie, Cheated, Bike, School, and Cruise memories. AND I MISSED THE 100TH POST!!

Yes, Birthday Week. It actually stretches a bit over a week really. My Grandma’s on 2-27, Lauren’s on 3-4, Erica’s on 3-6, Jim’s on 3-8, and other Erica’s on 3-12. They are 72, 20, 21, 21, and 21 respectively. So a happy belated birthday to you all.

For some reason i thought I was waiting for the 900th visit at mid month, but it was 850. That 850 came before I expected it too, which probably added to the confusion. Anyway though, Suchyta was the 850th, on 03-09-04 at 11:11 am.

What else…

I haven’t been doing much lately. Jason and Suchyta both cancelled, so I still haven’t seen LOTR:ROTK. Is at Hampton 6 until Thursday, so I give them until Wednesday and then I am just going.

Hmmm…

When you buy a pop, it is 12 or 20 or whatever fluid ounces, right? But being carbonated, a certain amount of that volume is really just suspended carbon dioxide. So the amount of the actual drink if a certain amount less. I think I may need to devise a way of measuring what amount of your pop is actually just air.

I have been looking online for a new crankset for my bike, but don’t see it happening. In all honesty mine is fine for now, there are better things to spend $$ on, and if I did replace my crankset, I would need a new chain, possible a new shifter, and definitely a new bottom bracket. So even if I went with a less expensive say $99 crank, I would need at least $100 in other stuff replaced as well. That just can’t be done right now. Heck, the bike is only worth $600. Either way, that I am putting this much thought into it is proof of one thing: It is almost biking time, and I am excited!

So…

I have to go back to school soon, Wednesday. I guess that’s not real soon yet. Next blog on Tuesday, then it will be soon. This will be week 8 I think, so am over half done with semester.

Our cruise was March 17 – 24, 2001. That means we left 3 years ago Wednesday (it was a Sunday in 2001). It was fun, except the plane, I hate plane’s. Not afraid of them or anything, the cabin pressure just screws my ears up bad.

Ok, that is enough for now.

I will see you all on Tuesday.

PS

I am a moron

It’s 4:20 am Sunday now, and I just noticed that the last post on Wednesday was my 100th blog posting. I can’t believe I missed it. It’s one of the magic miracle things I talked about endlessly, and I missed it. I am really bad with these anniversaries. Anyway, I guess happy 101st post. Maybe for my 100th on iblog I will remember. And we still have the 100th visitor and 1 year anniversaries to go too.

Mmmm, Blog… <drool>

Headache, Happenings, Apple, Vacation, and Website.

Hi.

I have a headache.

I hurt.

Damn wisdom teeth.

Anyway, I went to lunch with Scott and Sarah today. Golden Dragon has egg rolls the size of a burrito, it’s cool. Tomorrow morning I need to be at state park at 9:30 for an interview. I do not look forward to being up so early. Then, at like 6:10, Jason, Nick, and I are going to BC8 to see LOTR:ROTK.

Apple has been real shitty with updates. We haven’t seen shit since MacWorld. And, I’m like 0 for 9 on itunes caps. One in Three my ass.

Hmmmm….

Spring break has been boring. Although it officially started Sunday, it really didn’t start for me until today, since today was the first day I would have had a class. I guess vacations can only be truly appreciated when you have something to vacate.

No, I haven’t done any work on the website. I have a list of things to do here, but haven’t been up for it lately. Perhaps soon, perhaps not.

Ok, thats all for now. I need to take a DVD back and get some stuff from Meijer’s.

bye

Spring Break

Break, Stuff I did, Stuff I will do, Website, and Weather.

Yes, it is now spring break (for me anyway). I actually have plans on almost every day this week, which is odd for me. At least none of them include school though.

Lets see, Cassie came over Thursday and we watched Office Space, Friday I didn’t really do much, Saturday night I went with Cassie to meet her friend Chris and his gf Kara. Today I went to K-Mart for this entertainment center that was a) sold out and b) a piece of shit anyway. I ended up buying some stuff at Staples, but am still looking for a better TV stand/entertainment center.

Tomorrow Cassie is coming over after class to finish a movie we started yesterday, Tuesday I have lunch with Scott and Sarah, and Thursday morning I will have interview at state park.

Not much work on the website. Oddly I gave myself until May 27th to do it, but I am pretty much done. Maybe I should make more changes and such. I’m sure there is something that isn’t working right if I looked. Right now though the v.3 B4 is right where the current site is. Only real work I still have planned is finding more pics, figuring out the RSS feed, and adding more links. I am also trying to decide of the JS pop-up page should be left as-is, updated with new massages, or should just go away.

The weather sure has been weird, huh? I liked it being warm out though. I want it to come back. I am suffering from bicycling withdrawal at this point. I don’t like the cold. There is nothing to do.

Hmmm…

I guess thats it. I can’t think of anything else to say, and don’t want to bore you with more details on the above, so I will see you all Wednesday.

I Did Stuff Again

Oops, 2000th view, Huge site update, Genji, and Cassie.

I goofed on my timeline last time. It was Thursday I went to friends for movie, Friday I went to the BC mall for a bit and BLOGGED, I have so little sense of time.

I finally figured out who had the 2000th page view. It was Sarah, Scott’s gf. That was back on February 24th by the way, around 1:15 am.

I have been doing more on website again. I enlarged the sidebar font size under Scott’s advice and added a lot more stuff. All the stories are now up, as well as most of the “about” section and the blog stuff, and I added links to the blog quotes by month to find them easier. Also, the headings for each side category are now links to the categories main page. AND, I added links at the bottom of almost every page to go back to its main category, or to the main homepage. If you want to see something changed, please let me know. The site is for you to read, so I want you to like it. Also, if you want a pic of anything posted on it (of you, or your pet, or just something cool) send it to me and I would be glad to add it. I need more pics now due to the different layout.

Since I complained about Genji not being open in Saginaw yet, they finally opened. I saw the commercial displaying “Saginaw location Now Open” the day after I complained, but kept forgetting to mention it.

Cassie came over again Tuesday night. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean. She’s so much fun. How did I live 21 and a half years without her?

So, Cassie will be here in a few minutes for Ferris Bueler, so I’ve got to go.

nick

“This is totally non non, non non, NON, non heinous!”

:-)

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday happenings, and a little school and website.

Let’s see.

I always think of stuff after a blog that should have gone in, but by the next time I forget it. And I know I forgot something.

So anyway, after the last blog I watched some TV and then went to see a friend at SVSU. We watched Scary Movie 2, which was good, but not great.

Saturday I sat around most of the day, then went with Cassie to see Eurotrip. It was good. Funny, a lot more nudity than expected, and not always the right kind <shiver>.

Sunday I cleaned my room. Not like last time when I just tried. No, thins was an all-day don’t stop till its done thing. It is really nice now. I can’t wait till these cloths racks can go in the attic though, even more room, yeah! So after that, Cassie came over and we watched the Academy Awards. As much as the oscar ceremony sucks, she made them fun. So we hung out for a while afterward and then went home (well, she did, I was home).

So that was my weekend. I thought of posting yesterday, because how often do I get to blog on leap-day, but decided against it. It would throw whole schedule off or something.

I guess thats it then. No real work on the website. I need to do some homework tonight and tomorrow, but nothing big. Will try watching Ferris Bueler’s Day Off tonight, since SOMEBODY interrupted me (kidding).

Spring break next week, woohoo, 2 days less school!

Ok, it’s nice out, go do something fun.

So Tired

Tired, Grandma, Ver. 3, 800, DNR, and School.

I guess that 4 is just too late for me. I need to stop staying up to watch This Old House. It’s on at 9, but I always miss it.

Today was Grandma’s 72nd birthday. 1932, wow.

I have been working at version 3 more. The website now has a link to Ver. 3 beta 4 if you want to peek.

Speaking of the site, I reached my 800th visitor yesterday (Feb 26th) at 4:16 pm. The super-special winner is Cassandra…, uhm…, well just Cassie for now. She will receive a yet-to-be-decided gift, as soon as I figure out what it is.

I have an interview with the DNR for a summer position at state park on March 11th. I hope I get it, I can’t work with my mom forever, not good for either of us.

Other than that, school is going well and spring break is week after next. I guess it isn’t that big of a deal though, since I only have class on 2 days anyway.

Well, I am off to watch the remainder of The Great American Celebrity Spelling Bee, followed by maybe a movie.
