Time again, Circuits, iTunes, Free music, Evil people, Good to vent, Panther coming, Website, and Casino.

Well, I was sitting here watching Erin Brochovich and realized it’s that time again. So here I am.

I realized a few days ago how screwy the circuits in this house are. If I turn my fluorescent desk lamp on or off, it sends enough EM interference out to fuzz up my TV. Thing is they are in outlets on opposite sides of the room and are both in surge suppressors, that should be filtering the interference. Maybe I just need better strips?

I am pissed at both Apple and Belkin. First the good stuff though. Apple had a big announcement earlier this week. They released the second version of the iTunes music store, and iTunes 4.1 to take advantage of it. They also released iTunes for windows, including access to the music store. I encourage all you who use windows to at least try iTunes. They also announced two big deals. The first is a with AOL to send users to the iTunes music store when looking at music in AOL’s music section. The second is with Pepsi, to give away ONE HUNDRED MILLION free songs from February 1st to March 31st. At $.99 a song, thats $99,000,000 in music, with one in 3 being winners.

But the bad news. Belkin announced a new voice recorder and media card reader that connect to gen3 iPods. I own a gen2 iPod, so I can’t use these. Now yes, I bought it refurbished well after it was discontinued, so I knew something like this would happen. But there is no reason the voice recorder can’t be used on gen2 iPods. The media card reader does require the new dock connector as a means to pass data to the ipods HD, but the voice recorder uses the headphone port and a software update, meaning it could easily work on the older iPods. I blame both Apple and Belkin for this. Which brings me to my second problem, why no more software updates for gen2s? They haven’t been updated since iPod software 1.3, while gen3s are up to 2.1. There is no reason Apple can’t put the extra games and faster functionality on the older iPods.

Anyway, there’s my ranting. Been a long time since I did a good ranting, and it felt good. I will need to get pissed off more often.

Next week I get rebate check, and Panther, WOOHOO!

I did some website updating last night. A page on my computer and entertainment system, and added link to my mostly blank library page(yes Scott, just for you) Both are on the “Everything Else” page.

I went to the casino Thursday night. Ended up about even, slightly ahead. If I had left after 15 minutes though, would have been much more ahead. Got triple 7s twice in a row, then again 5 pulls later. Had single coin first time, 2 second, and 1 third. That’s 50, 100, and 50 coins, 200 x $.50 = $100 Oh well.

Cleaning, Refurbs, Gaming, River of Time, and Anniversaries.

Hello all, happy hump day!

I cleaned up my HD last night. 700MB cleared away. I also organized a lot of stuff that was just laying around, and backed everything up to CD. Its weird, there is NOTHING on my desktop. Looks freaky. Might need to create some empty folders just to look right again, or put HD icon back on desktop. Then again, I’m sure I will mess everything within a few days.

Apple sold that 20GB ipod about 20 hours after I posted that I would buy it. They did get some 10 gigs back in, but they’re the windows version. If you have windows, and are looking into an MP3 player, this could be good news for you.

Nintendo GameCube is down to $99.99. Wow, I paid $299 for my PS2, can’t believe systems are going so low. Next generation PS should be coming in about a year or maybe 2, others follow another year later. Also, there should be a portable PS coming!

I really don’t have much more. Haven’t been doing much lately. Stayed up till 10:30 this morning doing backup, then slept till 5. I’m so sad.

River of Time is this weekend, and A&W closes this weekend. I am going to River of Time, if you want to make plans, I would be happy to go with whoever, or I will just see you there.

Uhh, 40? My sad story :(

I have no life, School, Sept. 11th, still bored, and website update.

Here I sit, the first friday after my 21st birthday, at home with my ibook. How sad. Worse still, a female friend of mine, known to be rather promiscuous when drinking, is in town and home alone as well. But no, I sit here online. I need a life.

Anyway, it’s friday night (and the moon is bright, gonna have some fun, show you how it’s done, TGIF. before your time? Nobody remembers, it’s ok.)

Classes are all going well. Have some homework to do over the weekend, but nothing too bad. Mom went to casino earlier this week, nothing big though. Glad to see we all made it through another September 11th safely. Wonder what it will be called in the future? Will it always be “9 – 11” or will we call it “Liberty Day” or something? Or maybe move Labor Day onto 9-11 and name it “Respect-those-killed-by-terrorists-and-those-who-labor Day.” Or not.

I am bored (I’m sure you can tell, more parenthesis than normal, which means more side thoughts, which means I’m rambling and am clearly bored.) I have a headache too. Maybe I have a headache, and thus I am bored, because if I avoid thinking about my head, it wont hurt and so I am thinking about uselessness and making myself bored by not being able to think of things that I could be doing, which would be useful, and thus not of a uselessness nature. Then again, reading that back makes my head hurt worse.

Uhm, zip disks are cool by the way, they got those little crystals in them. Don’t understand how that works, but power to em.

Ok, I don’t want to freak all 2 of my regular readers out and scare them off with crazy rantings, so I am going to lay down.

Website is being worked on, and I mean it. I just don’t want to put up 1 or 2 modified pages and leave the rest, so waiting to get it all done. And at the end of this month I am replacing my HTML archives of old blog with PDFs. Is easier on me, until I can reformat them to iblog style. And besides, you can still read them at blogger anyway. I don’t even know if that will ever go away. Who knows. Also, I will have the 100th hit on my website soon. Thats what the counters stat page says. I guess that includes from when on the blogger page, and on website now.

Ok, bye now, seriously. And I was kidding about the promiscuous girl, she probably not at home by now. SHE has a life.

Ok, just doing a second test. I like the way this blog looks, and its easier to play with. As said in the other blog, aiming for a switch at end of month. Will probably just keep putting entries in old blog, then once september starts I will put them here. Not sure how I will transfer old posts, will try a few options and see how each works out.

Holy fudge, I did it again. I was supposed to post friday night. I thought I was, but it seemed too soon. I should have checked I guess. Oh well, not much I can do about it now, unless I edited the html to make it say I posted on time, hmm. No, I shall leave it.

Anyway, the reason for this post is I thought I should let you all know that friday was officially 1 month til my 21st birthday. I haven’t had a “party” in a long time, but if any of you want to come by or something, maybe we can pull something together. So thats Monday, September 8th, 2003. I doubt anything will happen, because nobody even reads this damn thing, but I will let you know if I see you too, so maybe I can get something anyway. I’m not trying to sucker gifts out of you, just letting you know.

Ok, thats all.

Guess the next post is number 28 on Monday, see if I can remember this time. Maybe I should go to posting Sundays and Wednesdays, rather than every third day, I haven’t been doing to well at keeping the schedule right.

Ok, its 2:36 now, and I posted the above at 2:15, right, ok. So anyway, I am insanely bored and should be sleeping, but am not, so I was reading old posts. I found errors up the kazoo, and decided on the new schedule. My first ever post was on Tuesday, May 27th, 2003. If you count every third day from then to now, you end up on Sunday, August 10th, 2003 (today). So, rather than an update on Monday, it will be now, this is it. And I will try to stick to the 3 day thing better. If, however, I fail to do so, I will begin posting on Tuesdays and Fridays to simplify things. So thats the plan, and if you like or dislike it, let me know. By the way, I find the old posts absolutely hillarious. I remember what I was thinking on most of them,and it’s cool to be able to go back. Guess thats it. I need to go to bed, so that I can get up and do nothing tomorrow. Another thing, that book I was reading about Apple, haven’t touched it in over a month now. I said I would keep you updated on it, so there it is. Too busy I guess. Ok, I’m leaving, really.

Life sucks. You can never do anything up to anyone else’s standards, but if you quit trying you just get it worse. You can do anything and everything they want, and even more, but they can always find a fault. It’s useless to clean your room, because the door is closed, so who notices, even if it took all day. And if they tell you “dont worry about the …”, that better be the first thing you do, or you better stay far from it. Depends on their mood, and you’re a mind reader to know, because you’re “perfect like them”.

Sorry, bad day, well, bad 15 minutes, but enough crap for about a week.

This is number 25, might be a milestone or something. Don’t seem to do well at those though, so we will forgo anything special.

Working on getting bedroom in order, now that all the little people are gone. Have been trying to do this since we moved in in what, april? Good luck, huh… Not going too bad really. Just need to press on I guess.

Ok, you all go enjoy your busy little lives, with your happy little families. I’ll just sit here in hell and wait to die. Don’t mind me, I can take it, I hope.

Ah, another day, another blog. Seems so soon. Not that I don’t want to write this, but that I don’t have much to write.

Uhm, nope. Can’t think of anything.

Nothing really big has happened.

This is Blog post number 21.

Being the 25th, I have had my ibook for 227 days.

I am staring at the Kung-Log window. Its more transparent than most. I can see the ichat window behind it just faintly. Can make out my buddy icon, the message bubbles, some text. Here, I will post out of boredom.

Uhm, anyone know how to insert a pic in Kung-Log?…

Ok, back to Kung-Log due to the unfortunate and disgruntling happenings a few days ago.

Something very big happened last night. I can say what here because we don’t want some people who may read this to know, but if you do know, then there you go. I don’t know, nevermind.

My cousins are, uhm, interesting. They mostly just play PS2 or watch TV, but they are mostly cool. They can get annoying, a bit clingy. They don’t get my jokes either. I probably should watch what I say around them better too. I mean, they are 12 and 13, I don’t want to scar their fragile little minds. Oh well.

Hey, I just noticed if I spell Kung-Log properly, with the hyphen, it says the spelling is ok, cool.

I was right on the Linksys, having a wifi router makes me want the airport card even more. Too many other things that I need though, before I can get into buying more wants.

My brother found his keys. Not sure if I mentioned they were missing. I did in the first version of the last post, but don’t know if it made it in the one that got posted though.

I realized that puberty killed my creativity. I used to be able to write those crazy stories in seventh grade, but not anymore. They start to get these weird sexual references and situations, and I just get pissed. My damn brain is screwed up. You ever think about your brain? Its weird. All we are is brains, the rest is just support. For mating, and feeding, and that kind of stuff. Freaky.

I am going to try posting more, whenever something happens, or I think about something cool. I also think that I am going to get rid of the counter. Its just too disappointing to see that nobody comes to the blog. I know Scott and Jason do, but there doesn’t seem to be anyone else. Oh well, one day, one day you all will see. My Blog will be visited regularly by teens of people and you will be sorry because you could have been here from the start, but no, you had better things to do. YOU’RE BASTARDS, HEAR ME? BASTARDS! Sorry, a little too emotional there.

BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just sat here writing for 20 minutes, and POOF!

Its gone!!

Here’s the just of it, because I’m lazy:

1) Why am I still Up?

2) Got a wifi AP, if you want to try it let me know, as I have no 802.11b card to try it with. Try wifimaps.com, 5 on west side, 1 on east side.

3) Uncle leaves in about an hour, leaving kids for 2 weeks. Hope Danielle comes with him to pick boys up, would like to see her. They want me to go with in 2 weeks, I dont want to, variety of reasons.

4) Apple edu discounts, BIG price drops.

5) BUY MY STUFF

And thats about where it all disappeared, page reloaded and form was blank. Yeah, that was in there too, am on blogger form because I was too lazy to open KungLog. That will show me, huh.

Ok, thats all. I don’t feel bad about leaving a small post, because this is just a boredom update. Do feel bad about losing the post, as it was pretty good. See you Monday night.
