Mmm, Polish Food

Food, Easter, and TV.

Jenn and I went to Kryziaks (sp?) for seafood buffet. They had walleye, clams, shrimp, salsbury steak, crab cakes, fries, mashed potatoes, gravy, dessert, salad, and soup for $7.99.

We are leaving tomorrow for Jenn’s parents for Easter. Should be back Sunday evening for dinner at my house.

Man Vs. Wild was a rerun, despite the rumors of being new. Hopefully soon.

OK, that’s about it for now.

Untitled 11

Old posts, Grades, Room, Tired, Schedule, and Easter.

I just did some old post editing, so am down to 40 remaining un-re-categorized posts.

I did better on my Physics test that I though, managed an A-. My Industrial Safety grade finally posted as an A too. Right now, I have 3 As and an A-. I just might have a chance at finally making Presidents List (Perfect 4.0)!

My room still isn’t clean. It’s funny, I have been cleaning room since I started the blog 4 years ago, and have not yet finished. I think I was really close once, but I doubt it was actually clean, just really un-dirty.

I am rather tired today due to the weather reverting to being winter and a lack of sleep this week. I can sleep in tomorrow, if I get to bed on time.

I have been doing surprisingly well at posting every other day, though I am sure it wont last. I’t fun while it does though.

I am going to Alpena with Jenn Saturday for Easter, returning Sunday. My Mom mentioned cooking the turkey breast I bought for Christmas, or maybe Thanksgiving, I forget.

OK, I really didn’t have much to say, just wanted to keep up the 2 day trend and was bored.

See you all Friday maybe.

Quickie

Poll, Weekend, and Ads.

So, apparently the polls are now fully functioning. This is a little odd, because they are now considered invalid code, and when they were “broke” they were fully valid code. Stupid IE.

Comment pop-ups will be worked on later. I can get them working in about 30 seconds, but there is a color issue with them and my style-sheet not agreeing or something.

Weekend was relatively uneventful. Jenn and I did some shopping yesterday for things we couldn’t afford.

My Adsense account is up to like $0.16 or something. I have the feeling it will be going away. The time it takes to make it to $100.00 is looking to be well over a year, or several.

So, I think that’s it. Vote please, and comment on any other things you miss.

Spring Has Sprung

Spring, Cleaning, Ads, Survival, Camping, and School stuff.

Well, it’s officially spring, A&W opened today. Kind of odd that they opened on a Saturday though.

I am in the process of cleaning my room up, and needed a break, and since I have been rather good at posting every other day, thought I would blog.

Apparently the poll doesn’t work under certain circumstances in IE for some reason. I made a change that maybe will help, if not I can make another. Not that I particularly care if it works in IE, since it sucks, but still.

Google says I my ad is at 235 impressions, and I have earned $0.00. I am waiting for 1000+ impressions to see what I get, and depending on that it may either stay or go.

New season of Man vs Wild supposedly begins April 6, with Survivorman coming later in the year.

I really want to go camping. If Jenn didn’t work this weekend I would have been trying to convince her. Next weekend is Easter and we are going to her parents, then the following 2 weekends are the last of the school year and will be studying and homework galore I am sure. Maybe a “We’re out of school and summer is here” trip from the 27th till whenever?

Yeah, so school is down to 4 weeks, thats 16 actual days of class, 20 classes total. Uhm, 80 hours of class time? My total time left at Delta is 88 hours total then, including my 2 hour break on Mondays.

I received my financial aid award offer from Ferris yesterday, but it was missing 1 grant that I know of, and I possibly qualify for a second. I emailed and asked, should hear back Monday or Tuesday. I also get my grade for my Industrial Safety class Tuesday, since it was an independent study and ended early in the semester. Probably find out how mad I screwed up on my Physics test too.

OK, that is all. Back to cleaning.

New poll tomorrow at Midnight, presuming I got the auto posting to finally work.

Number 450

Entries, Poll, TV, Blog, Physics, Soup, and Weather.

So, I am pretty much ready for school, but I don’t need to leave for 20 minutes, so you get a post.

This is entry #450. According to the 3 day rule, this would be day 1350, making today 3.69 years since the first post on May 27, so 3 years, 8 months, 11 days from then is February 4, 2007. So, I am about 2 months behind where I should be. Oh well.

I decided since you all keep voting so fast, I got one more site-related poll. That should post at midnight tonight for you to all consider. Non-site type poll will go up 12 AM April 2nd.

Discovery keeps showing Survivorman and Man vs Wild, but they are all still reruns. I am happy watching old episodes though.

The last episode of This Old House for the season is on tonight. That’s kind of sad, though it means I get to go to bed earlier since I generally have to wait up for the 1 or 3 AM episode.

I have been making a few other minor changes here and there on the blog, but nothing real big.

I have a Physics test today, which is non-exciting. The class average on the last one was 60%, and this material was similar but harder. We will see how it went in a week.

I made french onion soup at Jenn’s yesterday. It was slightly different that what you would expect, having mushrooms added to it, but still quite good.

It keeps getting nice out and making me want to ride my bike or start yard work or go camping, but most nice temperature days end up with rain or high winds it seems. I guess I just need to wait a bit longer.

OK, I think it’s time to get off to school. See you all in a few days.

Grand Rapids and St. Patrick’s Day

Polls, Grand Rapids, St. Patrick’s Day, Camping, and Graduation.

Lets begin with the poll. You have thankfully voted for the easier options, though deleting old polls was a rhetorical option and would never happen, so a page under info wins by a landslide 100% of the votes. I will begin my edits this weekend I believe, or maybe tomorrow afternoon, not sure yet.

The weekend in Grand Rapids. Jenn’s interview went well, and she learned some good info at the job fair. We did some shopping and even some buying, though the buying may have been a little more than it should have been.

On Friday we went to Rudy J’s for my monthly Library breakfast, though it was only 5 people including Jenn and Beth’s husband, so really 3. Once in GR, we went to our hotel and Jenn left for her interview. When she returnded we decided to go shopping and eat. As soon as we went over the overpass I recognized it as where Scott’s sister and boyfriend had taken us when we brought her the couch. So we went to eat at Carrabba’s, which was really good, and decided to go back to the hotel for a while before shopping. Later that night, we finally went shopping, but after about an hour in the mall bought nothing. There was lots I wanted to buy, but I didn’t.

Saturday Jenn went to the job fair and when she got back we checked out and went across to Kentwood, and did a little more shopping there. We had lunch at BD’s then both succumbed to buying at Nordstrom’s, I got a pair of shoes and sandals, Jenn got a pair of shoes and a suit. After that, we headed home.

Saturday night we stopped by the American Legion beer tent downtown and had a Guinness. My mom was volunteering there all weekend, so I got a free t-shirt too. Sunday we went to the parade, but left early because it was getting rather cold.

So, after all the shopping, I am rather sure I am getting the camping fever. Almost everything I wanted to buy was somehow camping related. I could go any time, but Jenn has some problem with camping in the cold.

There was a hiccup with my graduation at Delta leading to me receiving a denied notice, but that has been ironed out. They changed several classes for my major since I applied for it, so I have like 6 substitutions and they lost track of some I guess.

And, I think that is all.

See you all next time,

Or Not

Spring Break 2007, not as exciting as you would think.

I wanted to update more in the last week, but I kept putting it off a few hours, and then a day, and then eventually we got here to a week later with nothing.

So, Spring Break 2007. Yeah, not that great overall.

Monday Jenn and I went to Big Rapids to look at some houses we were considering outside of Big Rapids. Overall, we found the whole area not what we expected. The few houses we did go see were surrounded by trailers, and not even nice ones, in what could best be described as a county sized mobile home park. We were getting a little car sick from making the mistake of taking M-20 in, and disgusted by what we were finding, and decided to quit looking. We did stop by Ryan’s Creek apartments, which looked really nice and was by far the top (perhaps only) contender until we found out we would be double their income limit.

The apartments we looked at in Big Rapids were kid of slummy. Like the college kids don’t care, and the landlords own too many houses to care, and the neighbors gave up too.

So, on the way back we stopped at Jays to lift our spirits. I tried on the shoes I rather liked last time we were there, and decided I didn’t actually like them, though I had been becoming more and more obsessed with getting them. So that kind of bummed me out too.

So, after lots of discussion with Jenn, we are considering (strongly) the possibility that I enroll in Ferris Grand Rapids, presuming I can take my entire program there. That would mean better job opportunities for me, better housing opportunities, and less drive for Jenn. I will be checking into that on Monday. There was also the possibility of me attempting to get into WMU also, but that is kind of drastic.

Other than that, the weekend wasn’t a whole lot of action. I got my vaccination history from the health department which I will need to send to Ferris soon, but not until I know what campus I will be attending.

We did make some really good food though. I made a chicken pot pie, semi-from scratch that was really good. Jenn made Jambalaya, that was also very good. And we learned Jenn, a semi-vegetarian, makes very good meatballs, which I thought odd.

So, that was our spring break.

Spring Break

Spring break, Walk, Eclipse, and some notes.

So, I am on Spring Break for the next week. Jenn and I hope to go look at some houses around Big Rapids at some point, and she is going to a nursing conference in Lansing. I think there was more, but I don’t remember it.

I took Molly for a 4 mile walk on Wednesday. We walked all the way to Jenn’s where I planned to sit until she got out of class about an hour from then. Then a guy who works for the apartments complained to me that I can’t bring a dog in, and I didn’t really want to make it to 8 miles in a day. Lucky for Molly and I, Jenn got out early and picked us up about 15 minutes later.

Tomorrow night (Saturday) there will be a Lunar Eclipse at sunset. Viewing should be best on the East coast, as the sun will set slightly earlier there giving a bit longer observing, but should be quite acceptable here as well providing the skies are clear.

Jenn sold her iBook on eBay today, for more than we expected.

Scott, clarify please.

And, that is all. I hope to update more over break, but we will see.

p.s. Nevermind Scott, I got it.

A Gaggle of Geese

Count, Frequency, Survival shows, Posts, and Ferris.

Right now I have 5492 visits, and the former blog ended on 6017 when I took it down (but is at 6057 right now, thanks to still being on my blogger page and on google chche of the old site). So, at the current rate, I would say about a month or so to pass the old counter.

I have been doing rather well at posting once a week on Friday or Saturday, which actually isn’t that great since I should be more often, but oh well.

Speaking of Fridays, Man vs Wild is finally coming back (it was part of Survival Fridas on Discovery). They have had 2 marathons now, so new ones should be in a week or two.

I had 2 posts I was going to make this week, on what I would do if I won the lottery, and my feelings on alternative fuels, but I decided they didn’t really matter so I never posted them.

I have all my financial aid stuff into Ferris, just waiting for them to make award. That will probably be a month or so but I still check everyday. I need to get the health center form filled out still though.

I think that is about it.

See you all when I feel like it, and comment damn it!

Insert Title Here

Spam, Jobs, Breakfast, Riding, and V-Day.

For some reason, my comment span ended. I certainly don’t mind, but its kind of odd. I received like 900 in a week or so, then nothing.

Jenn is in GR for her interview at Spectrum. Hopefully it goes well.

I have applied for 2 internships for the summer. One at Parker Hannifin and one at Federal-Mogul. I will try for more as I find them.

We had another former tech staff meeting today. almost everyone showed up, including Beth’s husband and Dan’s gf. Only Dave and Kyle missed out. Well, and Leticia who moved away and Brandon who joined the air force and is apparently stationed at Applebee’s, but they weren’t invited.

The League of Michigan Bicyclists released their 2007 schedule, and the One Day Ride Across Michigan will be on September 8th. Now 1, I would rather like to ride that, and 2, especially on my birthday. But, I am standing in Todd Stevens wedding that day, so I can’t, and even if I wasn’t standing I would still need to be there (not need like I have to but need like he is a friend and want to except that there is something really cool happening same day). The ODRAM is always same weekend of September though, and my birthday will surely fall on Saturday again.

I took Jenn to Kingfish for Valentine’s Day. The plan was that she wanted lobster, but they had a special 2 for $30 buffet with alot of good stuff on it. King crab legs (huge), broiled fish, ribs, cocktail shrimp (also huge), roast beef, roast pork, mashed potatoes, and really good gravy. It was enjoyable.

Uhm, …, …, …
Ok, that’s all I guess.

See you all whenever I remember to do this again.
